Our garage is a disaster zone unlike you’ve ever seen.
It really wasn’t any good for anything else, but it was perfect for this!.Don’t ask me why I had that fabric in the first place….
Can I just say one thing?If you look at my kitchen from this particular angle and ignore what’s reflected in the mirror and squint really hard, this little part of the house looks pretty darn good!Never expected that would happen without the use of a sledgehammer..
So it wasn’t exactly what I envisioned, but my little house scarf still helps to Fallify this little corner and looks pretty snazzy while doing so.. And it distracts nicely from the plastic floors and 1974 range too!I’m starting to work on some of my Fall decorating to get ready for all the fun Fall parties coming up.Not like I was in August, messing around with Halloween crafts and stuff, but the real, serious, nitty gritty type of Fall decorating.
Yes, this is serious business!.
Well, I was starting to lay out my plans for our Fall mudroom, and I didn’t quite know what I was going to do.Follow my blog with BloglovinThis post will probably give you a little bit more of an insight into my failings as a mom, but that’s OK!
If you’re human, you might just have the same failings and we can cheat our way through these things together.. Do you ever have one of those moments when you think you’re being a super fun mom, doing neat things with your kids, making treats, and generally being awesome?Like when you decide that you’re going to bake cookies with your kids even though you’re super exhausted and have a million other things to get done.
You bake the cookies because you know it will make you feel accomplished and your kids will be thinking “Wow, what fantastic parenting I’m receiving right now.These are exactly the kinds of moments that I’m going to remember fondly when I look back on my childhood.” The cookies come out of the oven, you let them cool, pour the glass of milk and bring them to the table in a big triumphant Norman Rockwell kind of moment.
